Ship to shore is a decent restaurant to get dinner. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and soft. I tried the grilled salmon with asparagus while my friend tried the lamb chops. We thought both of these items tasted good. If you can’t be bothered to choose a restaurant and want to dine in a nice place, try this one!
Last night on Eastcoast. Want to have a nice dinner but don’t want to break my wallet. Randomly pick this restaurant without reservation. Luckily we went early was able to get a table.
Everything was so delicious, from starter, bread 🥖, main course to desert. The server was very polite and attentive. Nice atmosphere. He said the bread was from the award winning bakery up the street. So good.
The bridge is closed for repair. So the road around is kind of crazy. Plus raining. Otherwise, I don’t mind sitting outside
The woman that I had dinner with loves the place. I think it's a little overpriced but for her it's worth it. I have had several different meals there in the last several months and they've all been great both me and her. Wine selection seems to be good considering the size of the restaurant. Service is very good to excellent. Parking sucks but it's the Strand in Kingston always has always will.
Great Food but Loud Atmosphere
I recently visited this restauran, but I was disappointed by the loud and distracting atmosphere. While the menu offered a variety of tasty options and the service was efficient, the bar-like atmosphere and loud 80s music made it difficult to enjoy my meal.
The restaurant had a lively, bustling vibe that might be appealing to some, but for me, it was too noisy and distracting. The music and people at the bar was so loud that I had trouble hearing my companions, and I found myself straining to follow the conversation. This made it difficult to relax and fully enjoy the meal.
Overall, while the food was definitely a highlight, the loud atmosphere was a detractor. If you're looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're up for a lively and energetic meal with friends, this restaurant could be a good choice.
Wonderful experience! The food was absolutely amazing and it didn't disappoint at all!
Ship to Shore American Bistro Kingston N.Y. typical decor for bistro setting. Ordered fresh mozzarella and tomatoe with balsamic, tonight mozzarella was a bit bland, onion ring was delicious, fresh steam mussels in butter sauce and steam clams was extremely tender and mopping fresh bread in butter sauce hit the palette notes. New Zealand lamb lollipops was delicious but quite small in portion size, the grilled pork chop was wonderful and tender, topped with mash potatoes and asparagus .the strip steak was tender but disappointed with the amount of fat left on the strip, fish and chips was quite bland tonight, fish portions was small and fries seemed under cooked.mac and cheese was bland would be nice if 2nd cheese was added for more depth of flavor. Overall my family was satisfied with the meal besides the hiccups, but in today's inflation you expect perfection and good size portions. Tyler our waiter was superb,he is extremely knowledgeable with the menu and charming/professional. If your ever in Kingston give this bistro a try.
The food is simply amazing. I've never had such a flavorful NY strip (black and blue perfectly cooked) and my wife's salmon was really delicious. We eat out quite a bit so what I've said is spoken from experience. Generous portions. Worth the trip from Northwest CT. Our new "go to" eatery.
There has never been a time that we've been here for lunch or dinner and it wasn't wonderful! From start to finish, everything is always amazing!
